the Nightdwellers, and a haunting inner monologue create an atmosphere that sears itselfinto your memory.
The game is based on the original novella Lanefield: Personal Errant, which offers more than just a storyline—it brings philosophical depth, emotional charge, and symbolic meaning. This isn’t just about fright; it’s about reflection: What does light mean in a world where it’s rarest,

The project is led by Knotworks Interactive, an education-focused development initiative. Our goal is to build a creative community where talented students can work on real projects under professional mentorship while developing their first games.
Lanefield is being developed by university students from various disciplines—level design, character animation, AI, and puzzle development—who aren’t just building portfolios, but contributing to a rich and emotionally resonant project. The team is guided by a creative producer and an artistic lead.
